Meet Us

On the 1st of December 2014, the Village MedVet Centre officially opened for business!
The building was originally the old Southbroom Supermarket, but it underwent an extensive makeover that includes a modern veterinary hospital and doctors’ rooms.
The Southbroom Veterinary Hospital opened its doors to all furry, feathered, scaled and loved pets, led by Dr. Lezelle Floyd, a qualified veterinary surgeon since 2003. In reception we have Veronique Shaul, Anneri Willemse and Venessa Thwaites.
The hospital boasts a modern surgical centre, dental equipment, as well as radiology and ultrasound capabilities, laboratory and visiting area. Dr. Floyd is also available for house calls if needed.
Not needing medical attention? Visit our vet shop for all your pet’s nutritional, playful, bedding and grooming needs.
Needing a doctor for yourself or family? Dr. Stephen Stewart also moved into the newly renovated building from his corner office. Suzi and Willyne will greet you at reception. His telephone number is 039 316 8046

Veronique Shaul

Known as Vee, is our stock controller and part-time receptionist.
When she is not greeting you with a big smile and a treat for your dog, she is placing orders and making sure the shelves are stocked.
If there is something you want but cannot find, Vee is your girl.
When not at work she spends time with her two sons and menagerie of animals – two dogs, one cat and a very cute rabbit.

Macci

Short for Immaculate, Macci is a natural homemaker with a big heart and kind nature. True to her name, she is hardworking and thorough; when not assisting Doctor Floyd with the animals, she takes care of the hospital, keeping it pleasant, tidy and hygienic.
Away from work, she takes great pride in her own house and enjoys time spent with her only son, Okuhle.
Ever joyful, she loves to sing while cooking for family, friends and her cute puppy, Daisy.
